Wim Oberuk has strong plans for the North Sea
IOBZ describes itself as a meeting place between art, science and economics. Artists, entrepreneurs, scientists, and government can share experiences and knowledge, but they can also motivate and inspire each other.
The project is an initiative of actor Wim Opbrouck and his business manager, Tanya Berkowitz. Oberuk himself always calls the North Sea the eleventh province of our country. “I am very proud to be the mayor of our 11th county today, the North Sea,” said Mayor Bart Tomlin.
symphony orchestra on sand
The Magic of the Seas Research Institute is currently working on a first film. In the documentary, a team of scientists and artists, written by Wim Oberuk, will set out on an expedition. In 2024, IOBZ also hopes to do an impressive stunt. The goal is to stage an 85-piece orchestra in Broersbank, a sandbank 100 meters from Koksijde Beach. However, the sandy beach in question is only exposed twice a year during severe spring tides. Orchestra Orchestra is already excited about the special plan.
