An American gynecologist accused of sexual assault has died shortly before his trial. George Tindall (76 years old) is said to have assaulted hundreds of women during their medical examination.
The man worked on a university campus in Los Angeles for 27 years. Two years ago, the University of Southern California paid compensation to victims of an abuse case totaling more than one billion euros.
Tyndall, who treated at least 17,000 women in his career, is said to have treated patients inappropriately. For example, he allegedly examined them without gloves, took photos of their genitals and made suggestive comments about their bodies.
American media reported that a gynecologist was found dead in his home. The trial was supposed to begin next year.
