Berlin Naked Women campaign for the right to…

In the German capital, Berlin, dozens of topless women protested against the rules that prohibit women from walking topless except in designated places.

The protest comes after an incident involving a French woman who was sunbathing topless in a park. The Park Rangers asked the woman to put on a T-shirt or leave the park. The woman refused, the police were called and the matter sparked a wider discussion, including on social media.

A movement was launched to promote equal treatment of men and women. In other words, women should also have the right to walk topless as men are allowed to. The breasts should be less sexual and more normal, according to the movement.

Participants in a topless bicycle protest in Berlin wore slogans such as “Breasts have no gender” and “My body is my choice”. Men also took part in the work.

The movement plans to organize another protest activity in Kiel on 14 July.
