The British singer also opened the show with his new single, Overpass Graffiti, which was broadcast live in 180 countries.
Song Festival winner Manskin also gave a live performance from Hungary on Sunday. The Italians also won their first-ever MTV EMA with the award for Best Rock. German Kim Petras will be performing as the first trans artist at the MTV EMAs. She sang a mix of two new songs, Coconuts and Hit It From The Back. He was the first of five winners of the MTV EMA Generation Change Award.
