Amelie Lens was ready to shoot at the Medusa Festival near Valencia on Friday night, when a severe sandstorm killed one person and injured dozens on site. Antwerp DJ expresses its support for the victims and their loved ones via Instagram.

On Saturday at 6 a.m., Amelie Lens will conclude the first day of the Medusa Dance Festival on the Techno Theatre. But shortly after four o’clock the festival site, on Colera Beach, was unexpectedly hit by a sandstorm. High gusts of wind tore the pieces of the stage, and one of the stages collapsed. A 22-year-old man was hit by flying debris and died, while at least 40 others were injured.

The festival, which will run through Monday and expect 320,000 visitors, was closed after the storm. The organization has already announced that the rest of the festival will not take place.
