American gymnasts failed to win the Olympic gold medal in the team event for the third time in a row. They had to leave the title to the Russians and also saw Simone Biles drop injured. The United States came in second, and Great Britain took third place.
Beals is still involved in the jump, part one. She was supposed to make “Amanar”, but instead of 2.5 turns, she did only 1.5 turns. Then a doctor treated her, returned her a wrapped leg and stopped fighting.

The Russians Victoria Listonova, Liliga Ashimova, Angelina Melnikova and Vladislava Orazova, who had already achieved the best result in the preliminary round, advanced after two of the four parts. After moderate exercises by Melnikova and Urazova on the crossbar, she was still tense, but things were arranged on the floor.
While the American Jordan Chiles made a huge mistake, Listonova, Melnikova and Urazova excelled. The Russians won the Olympic team competition for the tenth time. The last time was in 1992 during the Barcelona Games.
