Foo Fighters Introduces New Drummer; Josh Freeze on the drum stool from now on

The Foo Fighters will introduce the new drummer to the public on Sunday evening in a live stream from Studio 606. Josh Freese now steps behind the drums.

After months of speculation and rumours, tonight is the night. Foo Fighters is back. Josh Freese is the new drummer for the rock band led by frontman Dave Grohl. Freese, 50, takes over drumming from Taylor Hawkins, who passed away last year. Best known as a member of The Vandals, he has an impressive resume as a session drummer. He has previously worked with Guns N’ Roses, Weezer, Nine Inch Nails and most recently The Offspring.

It was up in the air for a while that Josh Freese would take on the job. The drummer also attended two Taylor Hawkins tribute concerts. And he just recently instead of In The Offspring. Previously Rufus Tiger Taylor (son of Queen drummer Roger Taylor) and Pearl Jam’s Matt Cameron were also linked to the Foos. In the first instance, Freeze takes place only behind the drum kit live. On the upcoming album But here we are Frontman Dave Grohl (who seems to have played drums before) keeps the momentum going.

Foo Fighters lives in 2023

Those who want to see Foo Fighters live in Europe with a new drummer should go to Rock Am Ring 2023 or Rock Im Park 2023. The German sisters were able to get the rock band for exclusive European shows. Also, the program consists mainly of US tour dates. The band pointed out Fast forward with tour dates To come to the United Kingdom. So we can hope to cross the European continent in peace. Either way, the team is already on the wishlist for Pinkpop 2024.
