PCists who only Forza Horizon 5 can smile. Ray tracing is available just about everywhere, as you can see in the latest video from Digital Foundry.
Break the barrier thanks to computer modification
While Forza Horizon 5 Keep posting records high speedPlayground Games’ latest release, since release, can also be based on another major asset: ray tracing which is offered entirely across all game modes on PC.
Those who already have the game on Xbox Series X already know that ray acceleration is only enabled in Forza Vista and Garage modes. There are no limitations on PC thanks to popular mods that let you take advantage of ray tracing in the middle of the race.
In order to better appreciate the benefits of this technology, Digital Foundry has published a new video where we can see the various performance tests that have been done. Without missing a beat, the video highlights the benefits of ray tracing via portrait mode, with lighting effects providing a visual display to say the least.
Even more powerful, the crossbar can be activated in all other game modes, whether you’re racing or just heating rubber for training.
It’s not perfect, but it’s almost
The only limitation is in vehicles that cannot take advantage of this feature. The demo video sometimes provides examples where the improvements may seem insignificant, but the overall presentation is still high quality.
We owe this achievement to a participant in the DF Support Program, who worked hard to make ray tracing available everywhere to give you a better experience. It’s so simple that even movie viewers use it.
At the moment, we don’t know if ray tracing will be fully introduced in the console versions due to the computational power it requires, but what is certain is that it will fade.
