Fujifilm introduces Uvijet HZ thermoforming ink for Acuity Prime – Graphic News

Fujifilm has announced the UV LED Uvijet HZ, an ink for thermoforming applications that can be applied with Acuity Prime flatbed printers.

Uvijet HZ thermoforming inks are developed and tested by Fujifilm at Broadstairs inks manufacturing facility in the UK. According to Matthew Whiting, Product Manager for Fujifilm Wide Format Inkjet Systems, these inks extend the capabilities of Fujifilm presses, such as Acuity Prime.

Stable colors

According to the manufacturer, Uvijet HZ ink guarantees “excellent dot rendering, consistent colors with exceptional adhesion and extensibility, and excellent quality for applications such as thermoforming, line bending and dome blowing.” Matthew Whiting explains: “Thermoforming should prevent the ink from cracking and flaking. Uvijet HZ inks are extremely flexible and retain their superior quality through the thermoforming process to provide a beautiful finish.”

Less impact on the environment

Uvijet HZ inks are also suitable for applications that require bending, shearing, milling and cutting. The inks are suitable for indoor and outdoor applications and are suitable for form-finishing applications at temperatures between 150 and 200°C.
