“Boycott iPhone 16!” This is the message of activists who took to the streets of Brussels on Friday, September 20. Their banners read: “A genocide is taking place for economic gain in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, where thousands of women are raped and more than 10 million people are killed.”

All this for coltan, a mineral essential for electronics, including the iPhone 16. “Choose a renovated Smartphone instead of a new device, say no to consumerism and make your environment conscious.”
