Ostend Beach’s organizers announced a big name for Frenchman Martin Solveig. “We have different scenarios ready to organize Ostend Beach next summer.” The three-day festival will be held temporarily on July 9, 10 and 11.
The big disappointment was when it was announced shortly before summer 2020 that Ostend Beach was not going to happen. The festival attracts around 15,000 visitors to the beach of Ostend every year. However, organizers Jan Mortlemens and Kevin Berens look forward to next summer with hope. “These are exciting times for us as event organizers,” says Kevin Berens. “I think everyone is waiting for more news. Both the organizers and the artists themselves. Everyone is eager to get back there.” The government should provide certainty about the festival summer in mid-March. “Anyway, we assume that something will be possible, but it remains to be seen in the form that we will have to photograph Ostend Beach. We have several scenarios ready. On the other hand, we can reduce the setting, but we can also postpone it to September if we really have to. We assume that by then, as most of them will be vaccinated by then, more will be possible. But hope for July remains. Since we are now starting to sell, it means that we cherish that hope. But it remains to be seen. ” French DJ and producer Martin Solveig is a big name in the world of artists, but there is more to come. “We are currently negotiating with a few DJs. We will continue the momentum of 2019, with a different music style in the picture every day,” says Berens. “On Friday there is urban, on the prevailing Saturday and on Sunday there are classics.” According to the organizers, ticket sales are booming. People pay ten euros in advance to check their ticket. “We are amazed at how smooth this goes and it makes us happy. It also instantly shows just how passionate this is to celebrate again.”
