With less than a week left to announce the Oppo Reno 6 series, mentor Evan Blass has released official-looking press releases from the entire lineup: the Oppo Reno 6 5G, Reno 6 Pro 5G and Reno 6 Pro + 5G.
Oppo Reno 6 5G
Gadgets360 reports that the Oppo Reno 6 5G will include an unspecified MediaTek chipset paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage as standard. But if that wasn’t enough, a 12/256 GB version would also be available.
Buyers are provided with a 6.55 inch flat screen. The latter is surrounded by thin side panels and a thicker chin, has a Full-HD + resolution (2400 x 1080 pixels), supports a smooth 90Hz refresh rate and uses a hole in the upper left corner for a 32MP selfie camera.
The back features a triple camera setup similar to the iPhone 12 and LG Wing camera setups. It uses a 64MP main sensor. Nothing is known about the other cameras, but it can function as ultra wide angle and macro shooting.
Between the front and the back is a flat aluminum frame that appears to be inspired by the iPhone 12, although recent flagship phones from Sony Xperia have also used this flat look. The frame houses the usual power button on the right, a set of volume keys on the left, and the endangered 3.5mm headphone jack.
An additional detail worth noting is the phone’s support for 65-watt fast charging, and the Oppo Reno 6 is available in three colors: Galaxy Dream, Night Sea and Summer Harumi.
Renault 6 Pro 5G
If the “ standard ” Oppo Reno 6 doesn’t sound like enough, the Reno 6 Pro 5G might be of interest. It is said to keep the same internal configuration largely, the main difference being that it will disable the three-camera configuration of the quad-camera system with the same 64MP main camera.
The leaked renderings also indicate this Oppo Replace the flat tire with a more rounded version. Meanwhile, the flat screen is being replaced by a curved edge panel that is said to measure 6.55 inches. It is unclear if the 3.5mm headphone jack will be kept in this phone.
Oppo Reno 6 Pro 5G is sold in the same standard Reno 6 colors: Galaxy Dream, Night Sea and Summer Harumi.
Reno 6 Pro + 5G
The top of the range for Oppo Reno 6 Pro + 5G also comes. It has Qualcomm’s faster Snapdragon 870 chipset instead of the MediaTek chipset and has an enhanced quad-camera setup that uses a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 sensor.
Oppo This sensor was previously used as the flagship of the main and ultra-wide cameras on Find X3 Pro, so Reno 6 Pro + users can definitely expect impressive results. Unfortunately, there is no information available on the other cameras. The Oppo Reno 6 Pro + 5G is said to be available in two colors at launch: Summer Harumi and Moon Sea.
