Preview: Unlimited Test Drive: Solar Crown

At Gamescom, we’ve played a lot of games, but sometimes you get an exclusive taste of something you didn’t expect. So we were allowed to work for an hour Unlimited Test Drive: Solar Crownthe latest release in the series.

After the prologue in which the manufacturers showed all sorts of things, we were allowed to race for half an hour. It’s clear that a lot of thought has been put into the game, because different real sounds have been recorded for each car to make it sound as real as possible. Plus, with every car, you get the chance to do the standard things you’d expect with a car, but rarely found in the game. For example, you can use turn signals, turn fog lights on or off, open or close the roof on certain cars, and much more.

Weather conditions also affect driving behaviour, so every car will react differently in rain, sun or snow. Traffic during the day is different from that in the evening, which makes the world a distinctly alive entity. Not only that, but since it’s a completely online experience, you’ll also encounter all kinds of other players in the open world. If you don’t come across them on the street, you can also find them in one of the many centers the game has to offer. You have to join a clan and then you can participate in all kinds of races to place yourself in that clan and get access to higher circles. It also means that you can access more expensive cars, other areas, and more.

Unlimited Test Drive: Solar Crown

You can join two clans, the Streets who have a more modern take on cars, racing and lifestyle, or the Shops who are a bit more classic in their lifestyle and preference for cars. Each clan consists of six members that you have to defeat in order to rise in rank. So try Unlimited Test Drive: Solar Crown It challenges you to explore everything and level up so you can get the nicest and best cars for racing. You can play against other clan in 4v4 races and other ways to challenge each other.

Unlimited Test Drive: Solar Crown

During our gaming session, I felt it Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown It tries to give its own touch to other similar games like the crew or Forza Horizon. At first glance, this looks reasonably good, with an extra level of detail added by how well you can operate your car using your turn signals, for example. However, the question is how long will this game be interesting if you are almost forced to keep playing it constantly to get the most out of it. Fortunately, there is enough content at launch to keep you entertained for hours with its many races, challenges, and more.
