Britain’s Prince Harry will work for the US startup BetterUp in California. BetterUp is concerned with training and mental health. In a much-discussed interview with Oprah Winfrey, Harry and his wife Meghan Markle recently shared how conflicts with the British royal family have affected their mental health.
Due to the disagreement, Harry and Meghan are no longer in business with the royal family and are no longer part of the British royal family. This is why they lost their allowance, too. With their company, Archewell, Harry and Meghan have struck deals to produce content for Spotify and Netflix, among others.
At BetterUp, Harry enters the position with the official title Main Impact Officer Coat. This means Harry will be involved in the strategic decisions of the company and will be externally involved in communicating on mental health-related topics.
Invictus Games
According to the company Harry’s new job is a logical continuation of his previous work: “His life’s work is to raise awareness of the diverse needs of people around the world and to participate in mental health initiatives.”
BetterUp signals the launch of Invictus Games, a sports event for physically and mentally disabled soldiers and veterans, and the start-up of a charity organization in Lesotho and Botswana for young people with HIV.
