Remarkable career change: No longer a place, Jonas Wurz chooses 3×3 Antwerp | Basketball 3×3

Following the departure of Thibaut Vervoort to China and the injury of Kaspar Augustinen, the Topdesk Antwerp squad, made up of Nick Seles, Dennis Donkor and Brian De Valk, was looking for reinforcements.

He found it with Jonas Wurz. Wurz has played occasionally for Antwerp’s 3×3 team in the past, but is now putting everything into the 3×3 team.

He became a professional 3×3 player and left his current club Kangeroes. This was a great choice, because Wurtz was an important pawn of Kanjiroes.

It’s a serious boost for Topdesk Antwerp. Wurtz is only 26 years old and already has 9 years of experience in Division I indoor basketball.

“He brings the team the extra shooting we need, but he is so much more than that. His basketball IQ, physical presence and work ethic make him the perfect 3×3 player,” the team wrote in a statement.

Thanks in part to the support of Sport Vlaanderen, Jonas Foerts has become Antwerp’s fourth professional 3×3 player. Who wants to continue their professional career in this way?

“As a team, we have made additional efforts to reach an agreement with Kangaroos Mechelen, but we firmly believe that this investment is essential to defend and improve our current third place in the world rankings.”
