The decision came “in response to the ever-widening sanctions imposed on Russian citizens by the Joe Biden administration.” In a statement issued by the Russian Foreign Ministry.

Among those barred from entering Russia is actor and director Sean Penn, who traveled to Kyiv in late June to show his support for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. The list also includes actor Ben Stiller, who also visited the Ukrainian capital in June, and political figures and members of President Joe Biden’s administration.

The statement: “The hostile actions of the American authorities, which continue to move in an anti-Russian direction, destroy bilateral relations and intensify the confrontation between Russia and the United States, will continue in force.”

In late June, Russia announced that it would never allow the wife and daughter of US President Joe Biden to access again, after Washington imposed sanctions on members of Vladimir Putin’s family, including his two daughters, and on the Russian president himself. Biden, in turn, can no longer enter Russia.
