Spotify is planning to raise prices and offer a more expensive Music Pro subscription. But what do you actually get in return?

Spotify Music Pro subscription is coming (and it's better)
According to rumours, Spotify has a new subscription ready. Spotify Music Pro gets some extra features not found in the regular subscription. These rumors have been around for some time, but it was often thought that this subscription would be called “Spotify HiFi.” However, that name never appeared, and the website the edge It now says Spotify will introduce Music Pro.
There have been rumors for some time that Spotify is planning to make changes. They want to increase prices again soon. But these plans only appear to apply to a few countries at the moment. Other countries usually come later.
More information has already appeared in the software code about Music Pro's new subscription model. The most notable addition is support for “lossless audio,” audio without loss of quality due to compression. Hence, Spotify will support FLAC audio files “up to 24-bit, 44.1 kHz”. By comparison, Apple Music has 16-bit/44.1kHz audio (CD quality), up to 24-bit/192kHz.
That's not the only thing Spotify wants to add to the new Music Pro subscription. There are also indications in the software code that remix features are coming. This allows you, among other things, to adjust the speed of songs or create a mix (a kind of mix of two songs). Another function also built into the software code is to enhance listening with specific headphones or earbuds, such as Apple AirPods.
It is not yet known when Spotify will launch the new Music Pro subscription. No pricing has been announced yet for the lossless audio version of the music service. For comparison: Apple Music already supports hi-fi audio and currently costs € 10.99 per month.
