It is about Saleh Al-Arouri, a prominent member of the Hamas movement and co-founder of the Al-Qassam Brigades, affiliated with the Palestinian organization. He is considered number 2 in the group. Five other people also died.
But Israel has not yet confirmed that it carried out an attack on the Lebanese capital. But everything indicates that Israel is behind the explosion. A member of the Knesset, the Israeli parliament, congratulated the Israeli army and security services for “the killing of a senior Hamas official in Beirut.” According to Israel’s Channel 12, Cabinet Secretary Yossi Fuchs also ordered government ministers not to communicate about the attack.
Many photos of the area after the explosion are already circulating on social media. The building was severely damaged and the streets were covered in debris and broken glass. The country’s prime minister condemns the “new Israeli crime” in his office.
Hamas responded to the killing of Al-Arouri: “The killing of Al-Arouri will not break the Palestinian resistance.”
