Tomb Raider reboot writer wants ‘fewer daddy problems’ for Lara

Rhianna Pratchett, author of the Tomb Raider Reboot, shared a… BAFTA Games Awards her opinion With Eurogamer on what you would like to see in the future of Lara Croft. She hopes for fewer father problems in Lara’s future.

Pratchett says she enjoys watching Lara grow. With this growth, it should be more about Lara, not her father’s problems. On top of that, the writer also hopes to see more clever characters, something Lara’s character in previous games wasn’t ready for when Pratchett was at the helm.

“I love seeing her go solo and really enjoy what she’s doing. Because when we wrote the reboot, she was really well on her way to becoming a Tomb Raider. So she was like the Proto Tomb Raider. And all the traits that you associate with the Tomb Railer like perseverance, bravery, resourcefulness, she was kind of a bubblegum. surfacing with it.”
