Downing Street said earlier today that Johnson will provide a new package of financial and military aid in Kyiv. “Because of President (Volodymyr) Zelensky’s resolute leadership and the indomitable heroism and courage of the Ukrainian people, the brutal goals of (Vladimir) Putin have been thwarted,” Boris Johnson said after meeting with Zelensky. BBC public radio quoted a statement issued by Downing Street. “We are increasing our military and economic support and assembling a global coalition to end this tragedy,” Johnson said. “It must be ensured that ‘Ukraine as a free and sovereign country lives and thrives.’ Johnson announced that London would guarantee another half-billion dollar loan from the World Bank to Ukraine, according to the British Prime Minister. The atrocities at Bhutia have ‘forever tarnished Putin’s reputation.’ London is One of the most supportive countries for Kyiv and has already supplied arms. “The results are not long in coming, but now you can say: we are getting stronger,” said Zelensky’s chief of staff, Andrei Germak, according to Ukrajinska Pravda.
