US President Joe Biden warned on Saturday in a phone call with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin of “dangerous and rapid repercussions” in Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the White House said.

Biden also said the invasion would cause “great human suffering” and tarnish Russia’s prestige.
The US President also made it clear that his country is still open to a diplomatic solution, but it is also “preparing for other scenarios.”
