Jaguar Land Rover accelerates autonomous car development with three new technology hubs

Autonomous driving systems are being developed at these technology centers for JLR’s next-generation luxury cars. The three new technology centers represent an additional investment from JLR, in addition to the existing six technology centers, the car brand explains.

European locations
The three new centers are located in Munich (Germany), Bologna (Italy) and Madrid (Spain). These locations were chosen partly because of the presence of professionals with digital technology expertise.

A valuable addition
The establishment of these three new centers is a valuable addition to JLR’s existing technology centers in Portland (USA), Budapest (Hungary), Shannon (Ireland), Shanghai (China), Bengaluru (India) and Manchester (UK). Collectively, these centers employ more than 1,100 technicians who are part of JLR’s global engineering team of nearly 9,000 people.

Jaguar Land Rover’s nine technology centers will provide global services and data to the Advanced Product Development Center in Gaydon, UK. There, Jaguar Land Rover creates the next generation of modern luxury cars with a fully connected customer experience.
