Outlook for Mac is now available for free on macOS

You no longer need a valid license or Microsoft 365 subscription. As of now, Outlook for Mac is free for every Mac.

In parallel with the redesign, Outlook for Mac is now available for free in the App Store on macOS. Within the Mail app, you can easily add accounts including Gmail, iCloud, Yahoo, Exchange, Outlook.com, and IMAP. Outlook for Mac natively supports Apple’s own slides and contains many notifications, widgets, and menu bar glance options.

The app will soon welcome Outlook profiles so you can easily sync preferences for each email account between the iOS app and the macOS version of Outlook. Seamlessly switch between work and home profiles, each with their own notification settings and other options.

Outlook for Mac profiles

You can use a focused inbox folder in both the mobile app and Outlook for Mac where your most important emails are grouped. Within the My Day function, you will be shown an interactive calendar with event details. You can easily record new meetings or attend a video call with just one click.
