MovieNetflix will soon release its first Dutch Flemish Christmas movie: De Familie Claus. In the lead roles we see Jan Declair, Josie Hoysman, Moe Packer, Stephen Deegan, and Bomillian Thejs.

The film will not exceptionally receive a movie release, but will appear live on the streaming service.

The story goes like this: Jules Claus doesn’t like Christmas at all. After his father passed away last year, he no longer wanted anything to do with what he called “the most beautiful time of the year”. When his mom is at work, Jules loves to spend time in his grandfather’s toy store.

One day he finds a magical snowball that can take him to the farthest corners of the world in a special way. During his adventure he discovered something surprising: no one but his grandfather is the only Santa Claus. Tradition seems to run in the family for years, and now that Gul’s father is gone, his grandfather has taken over the task again.

When his grandfather broke his leg, Jules decided to help him. But before he can share his Christmas feelings with others, he must first learn to love the most beautiful party in the world.

De Familie Claus can be seen on Netflix Belgium and the Netherlands in December 2020. The movie will be released worldwide in 2021.
