1. Increase your body weight
This does not mean that you should really recover, but it is better to arm yourself with weights while walking or playing sports. By adding 15% more weight, you will burn 12% more calories.
2. Walking on an incline
Walking in itself is good for your health, but by doing it at an incline of 10% and at a speed of 5 kilometers per hour, you burn at least 13% more calories. Of course you can find a suitable hill near you, but many treadmills also allow you to adjust the incline.
3. Faster, faster!
Is walking no longer a challenge to you? Then try to increase the speed a little bit at intervals. This does not mean that you have to run, but a slight increase in speed is enough to get a better workout.
4. Choose your moment
If you want to get the most out of a good walk, you should also pay attention to the time. Walking right after dinner, for example, is ideal for avoiding a sugar rush and avoiding your body immediately storing the calories you just consumed.
