Samsung will soon announce its new phone: Samsung Galaxy S24. It is not a foldable device, but a new and regular device that serves as a flagship for the Korean tech brand. This is what we all already know about the new Samsung phone. Or at least: I think I know, because not everything has been officially confirmed by Samsung.
1. Titanium case
Similar to the new iPhone, which has a titanium case, the most luxurious device in the S24 range will also get a titanium jacket. Titanium is a very light material, but also strong. Furthermore, this does not mean that different colors will not appear. The S24 Ultra will be released in Titanium Black, Titanium Gray, Titanium Violet, and Titanium Yellow. There is even a picture of him (trans Windows Report).
2. The screen is flat
While the S23 Ultra has a more curved display, with rounded corners, we see in all the leaks we’ve encountered so far of the S24 that Samsung is opting for a slightly flatter variant here. A little more straight forward. We’re curious to see what it looks and feels like. It’s sleeker in design, but also a little less “soft”.
3. Many applications of artificial intelligence
Samsung wants to give the S24 many AI applications and has gone to great lengths in this regard. It even wants to create a subscription to this artificial intelligence. Possibilities include instant translation of messages in chat applications. Samsung’s own Gauss model is used, which means, among other things, that you have a new camera framing option called Zoom Anyplace.
4. Maybe another Exynos chip
In the S23 Ultra, we were happy in Europe that we could also use a Qualcomm chip, because the rest of the world usually gets it, but in our part of the world we do it with an Exynos chip. While there’s not much wrong with that, it seems that Qualcomm’s chip is actually a better match, partly due to those AI implementations. Samsung announced at its annual Qualcomm event that it has big plans for all of the AI capabilities of the Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. But what about the people who will be using the Exynos chip soon? So we are.
5. To be announced on January 17, 2024
The Samsung Galaxy S24 will likely be announced on January 17, 2024 in the American city of San Jose. This does not mean that the device will appear immediately, as the official release date appears to be January 30. This is much older than its predecessor, the S23 Ultra, which was announced on February 1.
More information has been leaked, but it is of course unclear whether it is true. The device is said to have a 50MP 5x telephoto lens, better cooling, Wi-Fi 7, and a 6.8-inch Quad-HD display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The RAM is 12 GB and the battery is 5000 mAh. We won’t really know more until January 17, because it’s up to Samsung to officially announce its new flagship phone.
