Battlefield finally gets an audio chat five months after its launch

Update 4.0, the big update of Battlefield 2042He lives. It brings over 400 bug fixes and gameplay tweaks. It also includes new features that fans have been hoping for since its release in November last year.

The biggest feature is the in-game voice chat, or VoIP function, as it’s officially called. It is now possible to speak to the players in your party or Battlefield 2042 team through a microphone. Voice chat was previously absent from the game, forcing players to use text chat or ping the map. If you want to communicate with your teammates through a microphone, this requires Discord, TeamSpeak, or any other third-party platform. Creating a PlayStation or Xbox party was also a solution (temporary or not).
